It stretches over a series of hills oriented east-west, creating microclimates that are ideal for growing vines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The main wine-producing villages of the C\u00f4te Chalonnaise include Givry, Mercurey, Rully, Montagny and Bouzeron.<\/strong>Each of these villages produces distinct wines, reflecting the unique characteristics of their respective terroirs. The red wines are generally fruity and elegant, while the white wines are fresh, mineral and well-balanced.<\/p>\n<p>The C\u00f4te Chalonnaise plays an important role in the diversity and reputation of Burgundy wines.
