A climat located in a hollow, whose anticipated potential has been fully revealed through hard work, Les Plantenays benefits from alternating exposure: one part of the plot basks in the morning sun while the other enjoys it at sunset.
Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, the vines are a great mix of ages (30-35 year-old vines on 1 hectare, 9 year-old vines on 80 ares and 5 year-old vines on 60 ares), and thrive on stony, marly, soft limestone soil.
They mature late and produce lively wines with good tension.
Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes, the vines are harvested by hand. The grapes are pressed gently, very slowly and whole. Fermentation is 100% natural, using indigenous yeasts from our terroirs. The wine is aged in underground cellars for between 10 and 12 months, , without stirring. It is matured in French oak barrels, 25% of them new, from 4 complementary coopers. The wine is racked by gravity to preserve its quality.

"Powerfully fat and round on the nose, with aromas of roasted wheat, wood, peanut butter, lentils and chickpeas. Rich almond and cashew nut aromas combined with the liveliness of celery.
A rich, generous flavour, the expression of a terroir with strong character, exacerbated by a racy style, with a focus on structure and fatness. The superb length on the palate adds finesse and lightness.
Goat's cheese soufflé, buttered spinach, celery and parsnips, mustard leaf salad."

"This Rully presents a subtle nose with delicate aromas of peach and smoky nuances. On the palate, it reveals a broad and fresh profile, offering a generous sensation that envelops the mouth. The slight acidity adds a lovely liveliness, while notes of white fruits like pear contribute a touch of sweetness and elegance. The finish is long and harmonious, leaving a lingering impression of freshness. Perfect for pairing with light dishes or enjoyed on its own, this Rully is sure to delight lovers of fine, balanced wines. A beautiful prospect for the future."

To fully reveal the expression of a great wine, the choice of tasting glass is essential. A top-quality glass will offer a large surface area for aeration, helping to oxygenate the wine, while its narrower neck will concentrate the aromas for optimum perception of the olfactory nuances and aromatic complexity. Controlling the serving temperature is also crucial to preserving the integrity of the wine: ideally around 13°C for our white wine LES PLANTENAYS.
Even the finest cuvées will lose some of their subtlety if these two essential factors - glass and temperature - are not carefully respected.
Aging potential: our organic Rully wine LES PLANTENAYS can be stored for 2 to 5 years.
